The coax center conductor is attached to the screwdriver antenna. It is isolated from the counterpoise adaptor ring using a machined Delrin® bushing.

The coax shield is attached to the 16 port counterpoise adapter ring. The ring is isolated from the tripod or mounting mast by another Delrin® insulating bushing.

This results in a true, isolated counterpoise system which improves performance, eases setup and tuning, and provides long, and trouble-free life.
