All of our Antennas use a 3 inch Coil. Our SA-680 is wound with number 10 tinned copper wire at 6 TPI.
Scorpion Antennas™ are rated at 1500 watts PEP at 1.5:1 SWR or less! We have done a lot of destructive testing and know what higher power or using short whips will do!
If a Cap Hat is used, please make sure it is at least 2 feet above the coil...any closer on large coil antennas affects antenna performance!

For Home Use: The Scorpion Home Install Package™ may be used with all of our antennas. Below is what we supply with our Home Install Package™.
1. Counterpoise Adaptor Ring™ with 8 ports for 8 Scorpion Stinger Antennas™ "upgradeable to a 16 port".
2. Antenna insulating bushing "custom machined to your mounting pipe or tripod diameter!
3. Ten large #31 material beads on an 18 inch piece of Belden 9913 coax as a balun.
4. Antenna anti-rotational clamp...stops antenna from rotating in tripod or pipe mount.
5. Eight of our Scorpion Stinger™ counterpoise adjustable antennas, two for each band.
Customer picks the bands of choice. Most popular bands are 17, 20, 40, and 80. An SWR of less than 1.5:1 can be expected.
